BAU PhDs are invited to participate in the international conference ‘Visions of the Future. Iberian Visual Culture after Democracy 1974-1998’ to be held in January 2025 at the Lisbon Design Museum (MUDE). This event, co-organised by BAU and the Universidade Lusófona of Lisbon, will be the pilot project of the Iberian Design Archives research programme, focused on the creation of a design archive linked to the democratic transitions in Portugal and Spain.
The conference will explore the role of design in the implementation of democratic systems and countercultural movements between 1974 and 1998. To apply, a 300-word abstract must be submitted by 30 September 2024.
